What material is FDY

FDY, FULLY DRAWN YARN, fully drawn yarn (called fully drawn yarn in Taiwan), introduces stretching during the spinning process to obtain winding yarn with high degree of orientation and moderate crystallinity, which is fully drawn yarn. Conventional fully drawn yarns of polyester and nylon are all chemical fiber filaments. FDY fabrics are smooth and soft to the touch and are often used to weave silk-like fabrics. It has a wide range of uses in clothing and home textiles.
Among them, in order to eliminate the luster of the fiber, a slice containing anatase titanium dioxide (TiO2) is used to reduce the luster of the fiber. If there is no TiO2 in the slice, it is a bright filament (or a large bright filament), and it contains 0.3% titanium dioxide for a semi-matte fiber, and 1% for a full-matt fiber.
If you want to get colored FDY, you can add color masterbatch during spinning or put the finished silk into the dyeing barrel for dyeing.
There are two kinds of processing raw materials for domestic nylon FDY filament. One is the mainland production method. Generally, nylon chips are processed into nylon particles and then drawn, while the production process in Taiwan is to directly use nylon chips to draw yarn. Therefore, in terms of technology, it is made in Taiwan. The cost is relatively low, the production process is advanced, and the product quality is more stable, which overcomes the worrying problems of fluffing and uneven dyeing of finished products produced by traditional processes.
With the signing of the ECFA "Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement", nylon FDY imported from Taiwan can be exempted from tariffs, so the price can be equal to that of mainland manufacturers, so there is a competitive advantage.
